Another Year- Another Party
It's time again for Hard Boiled Guy/ B-Girl Day!
October 18 is the day to break out your trench coat and Fedoras, put on your gumshoes, and mingle with this B-Girls. In celebration of the release of the noir cinematic classic The Maltese Falcon, throw a party and talk the talk.
Everyone knows the hard boiled guy. So who is the B-Girl? She could be the femme fatale, She could have a heart of gold. The B-Girl was employed by bars and speakeasies to get hard boiled guys to buy them drinks. It is believed the B in B-Girl stood for Bar Girl. The best example of a B-Girl is Joan Miller in the Burt Lancaster noir classic CRISS-CROSS.
